BELLWOOD COTTAGES

A mere four hours from Johannesburg and two hours from
Durban. Deep in the heart of the breathtaking Natal
Midlands rest Bellwood Cottages. With six comfortable,
fully equipped self-catering cottages, a family cottage
accommodating 6 people, a secluded 'honeymoon'
cottage and four cottages on the dam comprising of 4-5
private double rooms, accommodating at least 15 people
with a cosy loft in each. Bellwood
represents the best you can find in personal farm service,
roaring fires, tea, coffee, and sugar. All
the cottages include a cosy fireplace, bedding, electric
blankets, stove, fridge, a microwave oven, a T.V and braai
facilities.

The cottages are located on a 585-acre stud farm with some
of the most impressive walks and wide open spaces that
Natal has to offer. Children are welcome! Farm life
provides considerable entertainment with an abundance of
farmyard animals and 'goings-on' to keep them out of
mischief. A two-kilometer ramble brings you to the quaint
village of Nottingham Road which forms a central part of
the famous Midlands arts and crafts meander and has some
of
the oldest pubs in the province. For those with a sporting
inclination, tennis and golfing facilities can be pre-
arranged.

A Cast Away
A tranquil country retreat is not all that Bellwood has to
offer! On the farm, a 'cast' away from the cottages are
two
dams. One a spacious 16 acre and the other, a smaller 5-
acre in size. The larger dam is 30 feet deep at the wall
and is liberally stocked with rainbow trout. While the
smaller dam is filled with both rainbow and brown trout.
The aim is to satisfy keen fisherman and sizes of the
trout
range from 1 to 9 pounds.

The larger dam sports three
rowing boats. The farm is very close to a well-equipped
fly
fishing shop and Nottingham Road village boasts a local
butcher who is available to smoke all your catches. Pre-
booked trout fishing lessons, hiring of rods and float
tubes on request.
Mid-week and pensioner specials out of season. Minimum
charges apply.
